Information for Children
Stammering can start at a very young age and not all children grow out of it. Whether you are the parent of a child who stammers, a teacher or you have a stammer yourself, it is not always easy to know what to do or where to find information about it.
In this section we have put together information about stammering in childhood, including the various reasons why children stammer and some of the things that can help. The sections on problem solving and coping with teasing offer practical ideas for those times when things are getting a bit tough. There is also a section which provides information on where you can go to get further help if you would like to.
If you have any questions at all, the team at the Michael Palin Centre will be very happy to speak to you to offer any guidance you may need. Our number is 020 3316 8100
