Research Programmes

We are rapidly expanding our research programmes at the Centre and welcome enquiries about collaborative projects. All research projects are subject to ethical approval from Camden and Islington Community NHS Trust.

Why do we need to conduct research?

  • As a professional duty to families and clients
  • To meet NHS directives for evidence-based research
  • To support our teaching programme and our advice
  • To progress and move forward
  • As a specialist centre, we have a unique opportunity with this population.

Current Projects

  • The Value of Children's Drawings as an Outcome Measure
  • Psycholinguistic Profiling of Children who Stammer
  • Language skills of children who stammer pre- and post-therapy
  • Variability of stammering
  • Multiple single case studies in Parent-Child Interaction therapy
In addition, we have two PhD students currently collecting data, one staff member registered for a PhD and one member of staff finalising an MSc.
