Icelandic Horse Trekking

In May 2004 Ali Biggart took part in a four day Icelandic horse trek in the Scottish Highlands. The route went along narrow pony paths and around the occasional Scottish bog. On steep passes the riders walked up and downhill, but for most of the trek these sturdy nimble horses carried the riders through the beautiful scenery. Icelandic horses have five paces: walk, trot, tolt, gallop and flying pace! By sponsoring Ali and the horses families coming to the MPC helped us to raise £180. Thank you.

Rees (10) only stammered at school and only in some lessons. It made a real difference to him when we arranged an informal meeting for him, his teacher and his parents. He came up with some sensible ideas to help his teacher deal with those difficult moments.
