An Evening with Michael Palin in aid of The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children

What an evening!!!!

Sunday 2nd December saw Michael Palin, actor, writer and patron of Action for Stammering Children, host an 'Evening with Michael Palin' at London’s Playhouse Theatre, to raise funds in support of ASC and the Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children.

During the first part of the evening, Michael talked about his fantastic adventures in Brazil with the help of Basil Pao's stunning photographs. He then returned to the stage and give a magical mystery tour of some of his favourite comedy material. Towards the end of the evening the audience were treated to a surprise, guest appearance by Eric Idle and an impromptu rendition (with the obligatory whistling and audience participation) of “Always Look on the Bright side of Life”!

The evening finished with Michael and Eric drawing the winning tickets for the raffle with some wonderful prizes including a shopping and champagne trip to Harrods.

To Michael for a wonderful evening; to everyone who attended, who supported, who participated in the Programme; to those who made a donation before, during or after the event and to the special group of people who worked tirelessly to make it all happen – thank you!   The funds you have raised will ensure children will continue to benefit from the specilaist help available at the Michael Palin Centre.
